It looks like the local park inside Renfrew’s Hunter Gate subdivision will get a new name.
Town staff are preparing a report on a commemorative naming request for the park, which kicked off thanks to a written letter from the family of Mack Wilson listing his contributions to the town.
In their words, the late Renfrew developer built and managed hundreds of commercial and residential rental units, developed multiple subdivisions, supported local businesses, and served 25 years on the Industrial Commission.
Town staff agree he meets the criteria for commemorative naming and are expected to send a finalized name for consideration at the committee and council level in the near future.
