Listeners had reported a large police presence at AJ Charbonneau School on Baskin Drive in Arnprior as at just before the Noon Hour today (Tuesday).
A second report suggested similar commotion at Arnprior District High School a few minutes afterward.
Calls to both school offices have been transferred to voice mail.
The East Region OPP tweets that there are no reports of injuries in what is being described as “significant occurrences.”
The Renfrew County Scanner service advises parents are being advised that a “Hold and Secure” situation at the institutions has now been lifted.
