The school bus driver shortage continues to take it’s toll on Renfrew County students and parents. Earlier this month, the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium sent out an email to parents about some routes having to be canceled until at least the 15th of September. However, those have since been extended. As of this week, upwards of 20 routes have had to be cancelled, simply due to no drivers being available. An email from the agency to parents also notes that “We remain hopeful for a positive outcome, but we will be encouraging you as the parents to begin making alternate arrangements for school transportation.”
