A Renfrew farmer has joined a group of young beef industry leaders, providing a fresh perspective.
Fondoak Farms’ Emily Bromley has become the Ontario delegate for the Canadian Cattle Youth Council, a group that gives their delegates a chance to cultivate experience in the development of industry policy.
The appointment comes after she attended the CCA’s Young Leaders Program as part of the annual Canadian Beef Industry Conference back in August, where she was one of 24 semi-finalists vying for a nine-month internship with an industry leader.
Being on the Youth Council gives Bromley a chance to serve on Canadian Cattle Association committees as a non-voting member, allowing her to provide her own personal perspective on issues that affect the Canadian beef industry.
Charlene Yungblut, Past President for the Council and Member-at-Large, has taken to the Canadian Cattle Association website to welcome Bromley in and stress that working with provincial partners is their priority.
It’s the 10th anniversary for the council, and Yungblut is proud that many of its members have gone on to succeed in industry leadership roles.
