
Renfrew resident Kate Windle has combined her love of multimedia and authorship with her love of the local legion, and she sees that passion mirrored in the community.
Windle played in Legion Park in its early days, and was schooled about war, and service by her family
Kate says she’s been unobtrusively taping Branch 148 Remembrance Services almost since Super 8 days
Windle says her writing abilities were nurtured by some of the best teaching talent in town.
The result, A Time for Peace has recently been released
Kate Windle, former Town Councillor, professional barber, media enthusiast and author says her next project is already at the compliation stage.
It will pay tribute to the workers who built the community and she’s timing the release for Renfrew’s 175th anniversary in 2033.
