The Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) patrolled the roadways over the past long weekend, with a focus on the “BIG 4”: impaired, distracted and aggressive driving and failure to use a seatbelt or car seat. Officers laid 30 speeding charges, two impaireds, one Cannabis Act complaint, two Liquor Licence Act offences, one Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act violation and two charges in relation to the Highway Traffic Act. OPP say road safety is a shared responsibility, so do your part.
