We’ve passed the Civic Holiday weekend, and are into the swan song of summer- but at Clay Bank Nature Park, competing-purpose users are having difficulty getting along.
There has been some deterioration of the dock at the boat launch, and the Arnprior Fish and Game Club woh maintains the facility has been advised.
Recreation Director Andrea Lamontagne says users with boat launch permits are finding their access blocked by illegally parked vehicles- and are also getting grief from stubborn swimmers.
Deputy Mayor Lori Hoddinott says there are historical reasons the site is not safe for swimming.
Hoddinott says the perils of the site are not clearly visible.
