We have an update on the car accident that snapped a hydro pole in two this past Thursday, July 13th.
Renfrew OPP tell myFM news that they were sent to the scene along Raglan Street South and Burnstown Road at around 8:30am on Thursday after getting reports of the driver in the lone car involved hitting the pole before slamming into a nearby home’s carport.
They say 50-year-old Philip Munford of Calabogie left the severely damaged vehicle on foot and got into a different vehicle before being arrested on the following charges:
· Operation while impaired- Blood drug alcohol concentration
· Resist a peace officer
· Assault a peace officer
· Dangerous operation
· Fail to comply with probation order
He has since been held for bail.
