Renfrew is looking ahead as the Ma-te-Way Activity Centre expansion inches closer to completion.
The town has formed a working group featuring the chairs of three Council committees and a number of senior town staff to keep communication and oversight of the project on point ahead of its fall completion, according to Chief Administrative Officer Rob Tremblay.
That group will also serve as a sounding board for the future development of Ma-te-Way and the future phases of expansion for the park and arena.
Clint McWhirter supported the group at Council’s latest meeting, but was concerned that not everyone would be kept in the loop because only half of Council was actually part of the group.
Tremblay would assure McWhirter that, outside the monthly update at council, he’ll see to it that the working group’s weekly findings and recommendations are also made open to the public.
