Sixteen educators and staff members from across the Ottawa Valley have been recognized for their efforts.
The Renfrew County District School Board’s Board of Trustees used their final meeting for the year on June 20th to hand out their first ever round of Employee Recognition Awards, honouring excellence and innovation happening in our local public schools.
The new, peer-nominated awards recognize people within the school board who “contribute to a positive, productive workplace in school and central departments” and “demonstrate the spirit of our Vision, Mission, and Values in support of the achievement, equity, and well-being of our students, staff, and school communities.”
The winners of the 2023 RCDSB Employee Recognition Award are:

- Amy Dahm – Principal, McNab Public School

- Mike Fitzmaurice – Technology Enabled Learning and Teaching Contact (TELT-C)
- Elise Trepanier – Teacher, Pine View Public School
- Jennifer Morris – Teacher, Valour JK-12 School
- Amy Johnson – System Principal, Equity, Anti-Racism & Anti-Oppression

Director of Education Dr. Pino Buffone joins senior staff and the Board of Trustees in congratulating all of this year’s winners, as the school board says the entire community can take pride in the recognition the school board receives internally and on the provincial and national stages.
