An unwitting taxi driver served as the getaway for a man who damaged a local hotel over the weekend.
Renfrew OPP tell myFM that they responded to reports of the hotel being vandalized at around 3:00am on Sunday, June 4th, only to find that the suspect had hailed a cab to make his exit.
The suspect, a 63-year-old from Mansfield, Quebec, only got so far as police tracked him down soon after.
He currently faces mischief charges relating to property damage. The report did not indicate if he was released from custody or held for bail.
