Quebec’s Police Watchdog is investigating a death in the Pontiac. Just after 11am on Monday, reports say that two officers responded to a call concerning a family dispute at a residence in Clarendon, which is a half hour northeast of Renfrew. Officials say that one person went to a shed behind the home when officers followed to meet the person, the individual allegedly pointed a gun at the officers. The police officer allegedly drew his firearm and fired at the person who fell inside the shed. The person was eventually found dead. An investigation is well underway into the circumstances surrounding the death.
