A look at the fire along Centennial Lake
No gawkers, please- as the Township of Greater Madawaska reports a precautionary evacuation order has been extended into tomorrow for residential areas impacted by the Centennial Lake Fire.
The current areas are as follows: Black Mountain Estate, Little Bay Lane and Airds Lake Rd behind and including Snider’s Tent and Trailer Park.
The Greater Madawaska Fire Department and the MNRF are reporting progress has been made in reducing the area of the fire, which, after surveillance yesterday was revised to be an estimated 45 hectares in size.
Ministry staff remained on site overnight, and water bombers are returning today (Tuesday).
Mutual Aid agreements see neighbouring FDs assisting Township Firefighters.
