Town Staff in Renfrew are advising the community that a total fire and burn ban is now in place.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says the risk of forest fires in the area is currently in the extreme range, which means all recreational outdoor burning is off the table until those conditions improve.
Hot, dry weather over the past couple of weeks have forced many communities and some provincial parks in the Ottawa Valley to go into a fire ban.
The Town of Renfrew thanks you for doing your part to keep us all safe.
They have provided link to the Ministry of Natural Resources’ Forest Fire Information Map and further information on what a municipal fire ban means for you.
