An early morning confrontation in Renfrew has led to charges against one suspect.
Renfrew OPP were called within town at around 2:20am on Wednesday, May 3rd, after a caller claimed a knife had been thrown at them and that police were required at the scene.
After an investigation, 25-year-old Jimmy John Wemigwans of North Algona Wilberforce faces a count each of assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, as well as two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He has since been released from custody, with a court appearance scheduled for June 21st in Pembroke.
