The Town of Arnprior has been on board with Earth Day since back when it was Pitch-In Day, then Pitch-In Week.
says Lucas Power, Recreation Program and Events Coordinator, who spoke before Council about the Town’s plans for Earth Day this year.
Power says the Town has 100 Earth Day participation kits it encourages residents to take advantage of by cleaning up municipal spaces. When done, leave them in assigned spaces and call Town staff to alert them.
The Program and Events Coordinator indicates the project is a collaborative effort.
On Earth Day itself, register for the Earth Day Bike Bingo beginning at 9:30AM at either Red Pine Bay or Robert Simpson Park.
The event runs from 10AM to Noon, then you validate your participation at the Arnprior Public Library. Power says entrants can win prizes.
Lucas Power says local club members participate in a national event for Earth Day.
The Program and Events Coordinator says you don’t have to be a Rotarian to participate.
