The Renfrew Wolves are now facing a do-or-die scenario after dropping Game 4 of their Bogart Cup Playoff series against the Smiths Falls Bears on Thursday night, 2-1.
The Wolves had clawed back into the match-up just two nights prior, overwhelming their opponents in a 4-0 shutout performance at the Smiths Falls Memorial Centre to bring themselves within a game of evening up the best-of-seven series.
The game would go scoreless for the first 30 minutes before Tyson Tomasini gave the home crowd at the Ma-te-Way Activity Centre some hope through his third goal of the postseason mid way through the second period.
From there, Smiths Falls would come back and take the lead thanks to a pair of goals from CCHL MVP Sean James to win the game and take the series back to Smiths Falls with a chance to eliminate the Wolves from the playoffs tonight, Friday, April 14th.
Hear the game live on 96.1 myFM as the Wolves fight to stay alive in the hunt for the Bogart Cup, beginning with the puck drop at 7:30pm.
