An investigation on the Ma-te-Way Expansion will come to a vote at the end of the month.
Renfrew Town Councilor John MacDonald announced at Tuesday night’s meeting that he plans to bring forward a motion that would start a independent, third-party investigation to find answers as the Town has faced millions in overages and months of delays.
Reeve Peter Emon welcomed the motion, adding that the idea has been discussed by Council since their first gathering after being elected late last year.
The proposal also got the support of Mayor Tom Sidney who is looking forward to the review and the “lessons learned” documents that will come of it.
The investigation will be voted on at their April 25th meeting and, if approved, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
