Will there be a new champion crowed at Friday’s ChiliFrew contest?
Rae-Ann Dagenais with Renfrew and Area Seniors Home Support says they’re teaming up with a few restaurants around town for $10 chili and a bun all day Friday, April 13th.
myFM in the morning’s Jamie Cybulski joins Mayor Tom Sidney and local OPP Constable Tina Hunt on a judging panel looking at taste, smell, and don’t forget the presentation of the dish.
The winning restaurant gets bragging rights for the year, and proceeds will go towards the Seniors Home Support’s many programs.
You could also be a winner on Friday, as Dagenais reminds you to enter into the draw for a gift basket of summer themed dinnerware courtesy of Chartwell Quail Creek.
Dagenais encourages you to head to head out with friends and experience a couple of the participating restaurants, including:
- AlphaCater Bar and Grill at the Days Inn, 750 Gibbons Road from 11:30am to 10:00pm
- Bonnechere Bakery and Bistro, 258 Raglan Street from 7:00am for 4:30pm
- Golden Age Activity Centre, 212 Raglan Street from 10:00am to 3:00pm
- Karras’ Way, 168 Raglan Street from 11:00am to 9:00pm
- Step N’ Back Diner, 240 Hall Avenue from 7:00am to 7:00pm
Both the winner of the cook-off and the dinnerware set is expected to be announced soon after the contest, with Dagenais saying to keep an eye on their facebook page.
