Timothy Turner of Arnprior has won a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw from March 11th.
Turner, who is 68, has been playing the lottery for about 40 years, telling OLG staff his numbers are a combination of birthdays, his anniversary, and his old football number- but this particular time, he had a special feeling.
He wasn’t surprised to hear the winning jingle when he checked his ticket- but the amount took him aback.
“At first, I thought I won $10,000, then $100,000, and then realized it was $1 million. I couldn’t believe it. I felt like I was on a cloud.”
Timothy plans to invest, travel with his spouse, complete some home renovations and buy a new truck.
The winning ticket was purchased at Mr. Gas on Daniel Street in Arnprior.
