Renfrew Town Council got a first look at some upcoming changes to one of the town’s major events.
Dan Laverdure, the Town’s Economic Development Officer presented some preliminary details at Council’s regular meeting on Tuesday, February 14th.
Among a few differences that were floated during his time speaking to council was a big change for people from out of town thinking of staying over.
Outside of trading camping on-site for transportation services into town for the event, expanding the genres of music at the festival and condensing the event to a weekend were also briefly mentioned.
Laverdure added that the public would be updated as soon as possible so people can plan ahead.
The motion to adopt the changes passed, as multiple councilors expressed their excitement for the new look Bluegrass Festival this summer.
Town staff are still going over details for the new look Bluegrass Festival, and tell myFM that they will share the final draft of the plan with the community soon.
