The Circle of Turtle Lodge is inviting you to explore local Indigenous heritage.
Spokesperson Aimee Bailey tells myFM that they’re holding a Medicine Pouch workshop at their Indigenous Hub within the Pembroke Mall on Tuesday, February 21st.
Bailey says that medicine pouches traditionally carry natural remedies, medicines, or crystals to help commune with spirits.
The workshop is part of a busy week of sharing their culture and traditions with the community, and is open for everyone to attend.
While Bailey says you can find commercially made medicine pouches, making one yourself can hold a special meaning.
Spaces are limited, and you’re invited to get in touch with the Circle of Turtle Lodge ahead of time.
Call them 613-629-9977 or email info@thecircleofturtlelodge.ca.
