Nobody want’s their lawn damaged by a snowplow this winter, but the Town of Renfrew says one solution that’s being used by some community members is causing problems.
Taking to social media recently, the Town notes that some homeowners are placing markers down at the edge of their property to show plows where the grass and the pavement or sidewalks meet in order to prevent the grass from getting torn up by tires or plow blades.
However, the Town says those markers limit space where their crews can store plowed snow and could damage the plows themselves.
They’re asking you to take those markers out if you can, and to get in touch with Town Hall if snow clearing efforts cause damage to your lawn or property in order to get it fixed during the spring.
