It’s a big reason to celebrate for a small village in the Pontiac region.
A Winter Festival will ring in Bryson’s 150th anniversary over the next two weekends.
Meghan Griffin, a Bryson resident and volunteer organizer of the Festival, says it’s a project that’s been put together by many local groups and sponsors.
She says those volunteer organizations have been excited to group their events into one big festival, which gets underway on the evening of Friday, February 3rd.
Griffin says it gets started on Friday with a local dog sledding company giving tours starting at the ballpark from 6:00pm to 8:00pm followed by a ball hockey tournament at the RA Center.
She calls the festival a perfect chance for people to drop in and celebrate Bryson’s heritage and the outdoors.
Some events are free, and Griffin adds that they’ve worked hard to keep the cost of admission low elsewhere.
