The Town of Renfrew and Ma-te-Way Park are set to host the open ceremonies for the 2023 Renfrew County Ontario Winter Games this week.
Games Chair and Renfrew Reeve Peter Emon was on hand Tuesday, January 31st to raise the official Games flag outside Renfrew Town Hall with Mayor Tom Sidney.
The opening ceremonies are set for February 2nd and 9th starting at 6:00pm both nights.
They’re free to attend like all events at the Ontario Winter games, and will feature live entertainment, fireworks, and an athletes parade.
With a number of events happening in Renfrew, the Town says they hope everyone comes out to support the athletes in an exciting event for the entire County.
