UPDATE: WANTED PERSON IN CUSTODY
1:35pm: The OPP says Trey Gagnon has been arrested and charged with second degree murder. There is no further risk to public safety.
9:50am: The Renfrew County Crime Unit and members of the Killaloe OPP are currently investigating a homicide and are warning members of the public regarding a safety risk posed by the suspect.
The OPP says shortly before 9pm on Wednesday night (January 25th, 2023), police responded to a 911 call at a residence in Eganville and found one person dead.
Police are seeking a warrant for the arrest of 18-year-old Trey Gagnon of Laurentian Valley Township, for Second-Degree Murder.
The OPP says the wanted person may be operating a 2022 black four-door Honda Civic, with an Ontario plate of CHTE 185.
If this person or vehicle is seen, members the public are advised to call 911 immediately.
The OPP says do not approach this individual.
Members of the community can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
