This week’s Frewfest promises everything from sledge hockey to military displays, making warm winter accessories, and even catching up with the Junior A Wolves.
Renfrew’s Parks and Recreation Program Developer Jo-anne Caldwell says the four day Winter Carnival starts this Thursday, January 26th at Ma-te-Way Park.
Sledge hockey with the Renfrew Icepickers kicks off Frewfest on Thursday morning, followed by a Trivia Night brought to you by the Renfrew Public Library.
It’s the first time sledge hockey will be part of the Frewfest schedule, and Caldwell says she’s excited to give the community a chance to try it out.
She also suggests that you not miss Friday morning when members of our military will put on an outdoor winter display.
Also on Friday is public skating and a Wood Sign Making Workshop.
Caldwell adds that most Frewfest events are being put on for free, and she invites everyone to drop by Ma-te-Way over the four day event and take in all the park has to offer.
You can find the full schedule and more information on the town’s website.
