The Renfrew Wolves fell behind early on Friday night and were unable to make up the difference, losing to the Nationals in Rockland by a score of 3-2.
Renfrew rolled into the Rockland Arena having taken 2 of 3 games the previous weekend, losing to Carleton Place before getting a pair of emphatic wins at the expense of the lowly Nepean Raiders.
Rockland’s Kyle Leonard, Guillaume Labre, and Yanic Crête would all find the back of the Renfrew goal, while Brendan Waivada and Elvis Slack would keep the score close for the Wolves. Renfrew goaltender Sebastian Resar made 28 of 31 saves in the loss.
The Wolves will not have much time to lick their wounds, as the two sides will head the Ma-te-Way Activity Centre for the second half of their home-and-home series this weekend on Saturday, January 21st. Game time is 7:30pm.
