Details are scarce, but police in Renfrew say some serious charges have been handed out in a domestic dispute call.
Officers responded to the call in town on January 10th and arrested one person in relation.
They face nine charges in total, including:
- Assault- spousal,
- Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition,
- Criminal harassment- repeatedly follow,
- Forcible confinement, three counts
- Harassing communications,
- Mischief- interfere with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property under- $5000, two counts, and
- Unauthorized possessions of a firearm.
Renfrew OPP are withholding names to protect the identity of the victim, and say the accused was held for bail.
In the mean time, they are reminding the community that there is help for people who are struggling in an abusive relationship.

The Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County is available 24/7 for information and support at 1-800-663-3060.
Victim Services of Renfrew County can provide emotional and practical assistance to people who have experienced domestic violence at 1-877-568-5730.
