A 41-year-old Renfrew man has been arrested after a fight revealed even more offenses than just public disturbance.
Renfrew OPP reported to the incident outside a business on Raglan Street South at around 2:45 pm on Saturday, January 7th.
They tell myFM that fight was between the suspect in a break and enter on Gillan Road and the victim, who had confronted them trying to sell the stolen goods.
The suspect would flee the scene, but police would locate and arrest 41-year-old Mark Henry Lyle Barr of Renfrew on eight counts, including:
- Causing a disturbance,
- Assault,
- Assault with a weapon,
- Break and enter a place to commit indictable offence,
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000,
- Mischief which obstructs, interrupts, or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property,
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Possession of a schedule I substance- opioid- other than heroin,
He’s since been released, and will appear in Renfrew for a court date on March 1st.
