A recent supply chain “Meet and Greet” (held December 19th) saw over 100 local businesses and suppliers eager to work with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL), take part in the networking event cohosted by the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan, the County of Renfrew and the Pontiac Regional Municipality.
The event took place at the Pembroke Inn & Conference Centre.
The afternoon function was designed to be as informative and interactive as possible and was presented in a ‘tradeshow setting,’ complete with panel discussions on related topics.
The event was not just for nuclear suppliers but rather was intended for all local businesses to collaborate and explore mutual opportunities.
Although this session was the first, it is now planned as an annual event- and is consistent with a CNL commitment (recently expressed) to use local resources in the delivery of its work, including the hiring of local vendors that live and work in the Ottawa Valley, and the employment of Indigenous contractors.
