Renfrew Victoria Hospital had some notable highlights in 2022, according to their CEO.
Julia Boudreau says RVH was also able to collaborate with their partners in Ottawa to bring more surgical options closer to home, as well as creating a nursing education fund that will entice staff to work within the community for years to come.
One of the biggest highlights came at the start of the year, when Boudreau tells us RVH was able to officially celebrate earning accreditation.
The year wasn’t without it’s hardships, however. In a year marked by the loosening of COVID restrictions, Renfrew Victoria Hospital continues to respond to the challenge of the virus.
Boudreau says she’s proud of the work done to maintain staffing levels and medical coverage across their departments.
She says a big reason why they were able to make major purchases like their new mammography machine and continue to improve their level of care is that the community buys in on charity efforts like Catch the Ace, which will return in January.
