Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch across the Ottawa Valley.
Snow will be heavy at times starting Thursday night with 15 to 25 centimeters expected by Friday evening.
Wind gusts of 70 to 90 kilometers per hour are also possible.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility and blowing snow in some locations.
Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
