The Executive Director of the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation says their Surgical Team is ecstatic with the results of this week’s Giving Tuesday’s donation drive.
Patti Dillabough says that the $15,435 raised will go towards a new fluid and blanket warmer required for the hospital’s operating room as it expands to allow more patients.
Dillabough is sending her thanks out to both the community and to myFM President Jon Pole, who pledged to match all the donations from Tuesday to bring the total past $30,870 as the RVH Foundation continues to finalize last minute contributions.
The new fluid and blanket warmer costs around $9,600, and Dillabough notes that they have plans for the extra money as they have another piece of recently bought equipment that needs to be paid off.
The Tomosynthesis machine will be the focus of more upcoming fundraising efforts as RVH welcomes in the new year, including their ongoing Tree of Lights campaign.
