The County of Renfrew has announced Peter Emon is expected to be the next Warden.
Emon was acclaimed as the Reeve for the Town of Renfrew in the fall municipal election.
The County of Renfrew says Emon is the only one nominated for the Warden’s Seat in 2023.
County staff say the nomination will be presented during the inaugural session of County Council where the appointment to the office of Warden is expected to be affirmed.
The County of Renfrew will host their inaugural meeting on November 23rd.
Emon has previously served as Warden for the County of Renfrew from 2013 to 2016 and is expected to replace three term Warden Debbie Robinson who did not seek re-election.
