A Renfrew man caught in the act breaking into a private residence now faces multiple charges, according to local police.
Renfrew OPP were alerted to the crime by an eyewitness, who called them just after 1:30pm on Tuesday, November 1st.
Officers arrived on the scene and arrested a nearby man who was attempting to get away from the scene.
The 41-year-old would be arrested on five counts, including:
- Theft under $5000,
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5000,
- Arson causing damage to property,
- Breaking and entering into a dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence, and
- Mischief destroying or causing damages to property
He would be held for bail.
