Our local food bank is asking you to help boost their stock ahead of the holidays
Renfrew and District Food Bank President Mike Wright tells myFM that their 24-day long Advent Calendar campaign gets underway November 12th.
Wright says they hope to fill 300 boxes by the end of the Advent Calendar campaign on December 5th.
He adds that the campaign, which took off in popularity during the pandemic, supports families in need during their busiest month.
Wright says the items they’re looking for are ones that are most needed by the Food Bank and most often used by their clients. While you don’t need to pick them up in the exact order of the list, you are encouraged to drop by and complete a box before December 5th.
You can drop off your advent boxes at their location on 8 Argyle Street on Sunday, December 4th from 10:00am to 3:00pm or Monday, December 5th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. You can also make your donation any time at the Renfrew Fire Hall.
