Home sales have slowed significantly in Renfrew County, but prices continue to climb.
The Renfrew County Real Estate Board (RCREB) says 120 units sold last month (October 2022) which is down 13% from last year and 19.2% below the five year average. So far this year, 1,518 units have sold across Renfrew County, down 25.6% from the same time period in 2021.
While sales are down, the average price continues to rise. The RCREB says the year-to-date average price of a home in Renfrew County is $468,860, an increase of 17.3% from the first 10-months of 2021.
The local real-estate board notes it’s currently taking 2.9-months to sell a home compared to 1.6-months recorded at the end of October 2021.
