Now that he’s has the job, Renfrew Councilor-elect Andrew Dick says he’s ready to work.
We caught up with local small business owner on Monday evening as he watched the municipal election votes roll in at the Ma-te-Way Activity Centre.
He didn’t have any complaints about how the night went.
Even after being elected, he admits that a gamble on not actively campaigning almost tanked his chances.
The unofficial tally gave him a slim 35-vote lead for the fifth and final seat on Renfrew’s council, where he says he’ll first focus on improving the communication between town and community.
Andrew Dick will join fellow elected councilors Clint McWhirter, Kyle Cybulski, Jason Legris, John McDonald, and Mayor-elect Tom Sidney at Town Hall when the next term starts on November 15th.
