Renfrew’s Mayor remembers Ian Scott as an even keeled businessman and friend to the community.
Mayor Don Eady says that Renfrew will miss the presence of Scott, the longtime owner of Scott’s Shoes who passed away on Tuesday morning.
Eady notes that he has fond memories Scott from his visits to the shoe store, adding that he was friendly presence and a welcoming neighbour within the downtown core.
He went on to say the town has lost a “true Renfrewite” in Scott, and that his contributions to the community will always be felt.
Visitation for Ian Scott will be held at Zohr Family Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00. Afterwards, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday at the Renfrew Curling Club starting at 2:00pm.
