It’s safe to say people in Renfrew were itching to get out this weekend.
Saturday, October 1st’s Craft Beer and Food Truck Festival in Low Square packed residents and tourists in throughout the afternoon and evening.
Town Communications Co-Ordinator Jenna McEwan says they had about 600 people enter in the first three hours.
People who attended got to enjoy local brews and barbeque, as well as live entertainment from the Ottawa Valley.
McEwan tells myFM they made a point to prioritize beer makers close to home.
On top of a great time for all along the yard in front of Town Hall, one lucky festival goer won big on Saturday.
The town used the festival to announce the early bird winner for their Redbacks Adventure Day draw, picking up free tickets to upcoming Ottawa Redblacks and 67’s games.
Town Communications Co-Ordinator Jenna McEwan says not to worry if you missed out. Just get in touch with Town Hall.
Tickets for the upcoming Redblacks Adventure Day, bussing Renfrew residents to TD Place on for the October 29th game against the Hamilton Tiger Cats, are still available at $55 each.
