Renfrew Collegiate Institute custodian Marc Letts recently got some major recognition.
He’s the winner of the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan’s Support Staff Worker of the Year award.
In a video posted to facebook by RCI, teacher Jason Wilson talks about Letts and his impact on the school’s extra-curriculars.
Letts often travels long distances to support the school’s sports teams as a fan. He also recently helped their Reach for the Top quiz team compete in an online competition by opening the school for them on Sunday to take advantage of the buildings reliable internet, which some of the students don’t have at home.
Speaking in the video, Letts says talks about his experience in interacting with the students to make their lives a little brighter.
Mark added that he was surprised but honoured by the nomination.
Letts picked up the physical award at an event held by the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan last week.
