Three Renfrew road projects are set for the design phase, getting them “shovel ready” as the town mulls over it’s upcoming budget.
Director of Development and Works Mike Asselin told council at their Tuesday, September 13th meeting that one project would add a needed storm drain along Munroe Street East near Central Public School.
Council approved Morrison Hershfield as the project designers for the proposed work as the town waits to formally approve money for the construction in next year’s budget.
The second project on the docket was handed to EXP Services Inc., who will plan and engineer improvements along Dominion and Lynn Streets. Asselin notes this project would wrap up work along connecting roads that were looked after in the early 2010’s.
EXP Services Inc. was also tabbed to look after the upcoming rehabilitation of Eighth Street towards Barnet Boulevard. Asselin described to Council how the street could use some love.
As with Morrison Hershfield on the Munroe Street project, EXP Services will begin planning both of their undertakings as Council gets the necessary capital in order.
All three projects could see shovels in the ground during 2024.
