The County of Renfrew will have a book of condolences available to sign at the administration building in Pembroke starting on Monday (Sept. 12th).
The book of condolences will be available for residents to sign at the County of Renfrew Administration building at 9 International Drive in Pembroke between 8:00am and 4:00pm.
Another book of condolences will be available for Pembroke residents to sign at City Hall which will be mailed to the Royal Family after the Queen’s funeral.
Renfrew County Warden Debbie Robinson says the Queen’s strength and endurance especially during times of adversity will be her legacy. Robinson adds the Queen was admired by many people in the County of Renfrew, herself included.
Flags at all County buildings and in the City of Pembroke have also been lowered to half-mast in honour of the Queen’s passing.
The County says the Canadian flag will be raised on Saturday, September 10th to recognize the accession of King Charles III to the throne and lowered again on Sunday in recognition of the mourning period for the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
