If you’re holding on to empty cans after the Labour Day Weekend, the Manager of the Beer Store in Renfrew and Arnprior says they are collecting as part of a charity drive.
While Beer Store locations across the Ottawa District and the Valley raise funds in support of the Roger Neilson House yearly, the charity drive hits a personal level for Brent Sylvester.
The charity, also known as Roger’s House, offers a home away from home for young people and families while they handle life-limiting illnesses.
Sylvester adds that his staff at the Beer Store locations in Renfrew and Arnprior are eager to take in donations from now until September 23rd, noting that Renfrew has been a regular top-five performer out of the thirty-seven stores taking part in the yearly effort even in the lighter pandemic years. Arnprior is not to far behind, recently rising into the top ten as well.
Outside of collecting empties, you can also pick up raffle tickets for a $100 store gift card in Arnprior, as well as a gift baskets from their breweries in Renfrew. The tickets cost $2 each, or get 3 tickets for $5. The prize draws will take place September 24th.
People attending this weekend’s Renfrew Fair can also park their car at the nearby Beer Store for $5 a spot.
