Here’s what will be open and closed as we celebrate the unofficial end to Summer on Labour Day:
Many stores and groceries will keep the doors closed on Monday, including Wal-Mart, Metro, and Chris and Tanya’s No Frills. Most fast food chains and restaurants in town have yet to post whether they’ll stay open, but be prepared for potential reduced hours or full-day closures.
Anyone looking to pick up some refreshments should do so ahead of the statutory holiday, as both the Beer Store and LCBO will be closed for all of Monday.
Rexall will be open from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Monday for your pharmaceutical needs. If you pick your prescriptions up from Aikenheads, you should do so before Monday as they will be closed.
Also closed for Monday will be Renfrew’s Town Hall and Library, and you can expect the post office and mail carriers to take the day off as well.
