An arrest has been made in relation to a small fire on Lochiel Street South in Renfrew.
Renfrew OPP tell myFM that officers were at a residence on Lochiel Street South during the morning of Thursday, August 25th when they noticed smoke coming from the window of one of the apartments within the building.
The Renfrew Fire Department was called to the scene at about 10:45am and put out the fire before 11:00am.
Police would then arrest 38-year old Brandon McCanna of Renfrew with the following charges:
- arson,
- theft under $5000.00,
- possession of property obtained by crime,
- obstructing a peace officer,
- and failure to comply with a release order
McCanna was held pending a bail hearing.
