Picture from an eyewitness at the scene on Thursday morning
Quick work by the Renfrew Fire Department minimized damage to a three-unit dwelling on Lochiel Street Thursday.
Chief Michael Guest tells myFM that crews arrived to the address at 10:47AM to find smoke coming out of a second-floor window.
The twelve fire fighters and four apparatus that answered the call say the fire was under control before 11AM, with a degree of smoke and water damage to each of the three units on the premises.
One resident was taken to Renfrew Victoria Hospital with possible smoke inhalation.
A cause remains under investigation, and officials from the Fire Marshall’s office are assisting with the case.
