The Ontario Clean Water Agency is helping monitor the colour of the drinking water in Renfrew. Staff say it’s still safe to drink although there are high levels of manganese in the raw and treated water from the Bonnechere River water source. myFM news reached out to the Town of Renfrew Department of Development and Works who confirmed there is currently no boil water advisory in Renfrew despite conflicting media reports. Town staff say the drinking water has been tested and meets all health-related requirements.
