It’s summer right now, but minor hockey in Renfrew is gearing back up for the fall.
Renfrew Minor Hockey Association President Mike McMahon tells myFM that registration opened on Thursday, July 14 through their website. He adds that players who are already in the system have a fast track through the process for the upcoming season.
McMahon expects the minor hockey in the area to regain some normalcy after a pandemic shortened season for 2021-2022.
McMahon says kids will get a practice jersey during their evaluation camp as part of the sign-up fee, but also reminds parents and guardians that an additional $75 fee is back in place for this year if they wish to forego the fundraising events planned for the season.
A full FAQ and sign-up page can be found on the Renfrew Minor Hockey Association’s website.
Registration ends August 31st.
